The report states Manuel Pellegrini's side want to get their business done early so the player's agents have headed to Seville to thrash out a deal.

A major sticking point is that Betis cannot afford to sign the player permanently, with the fee described in the report as "exorbitant". They are hoping to secure a deal to sign him on loan with an option to loan him again for the 2026-27 campaign, while recruiting a percentage of his rights, but could face competition from Juventus.
Antony is away on international duty with Brazil, so his brother, agent and lawyers for his agent have headed out for the talks. There is a desire among all parties to strike an agreement after the winger scored nine goals and assisted five in 26 appearances for the club.
In the meantime, Antony will be hoping to feature as Brazil take on Ecuador and Paraguay in World Cup qualifiers this week.
